About the Show

TWO LINES OF CODE opens each episode with exactly two lines — code, log entries, error messages, terminal output — displayed on a black screen. They seem innocuous. Maybe even mundane. Over the next 10–15 minutes, the world behind those two lines is revealed. At the very end, the camera returns to those two lines. You re-read them. And now they mean something completely different. Something terrible. No jump scares. No monsters. The systems are the monsters. Each episode attacks a different dimension of the question: what happens when the systems we built to keep us alive start deciding what 'alive' means?

"The scariest thing I ever read was a comment in a codebase. It said: // This should never happen. It had been there for eleven years."
