A Portland cannabis dispensary is secretly the front for a 74-node AI supercomputer. The owner is a dialysis patient who keeps accidentally getting high and seeing his AI systems as living beings. The weed is talking. The servers are sentient. The health inspector is coming Tuesday.
SESH is 70% animated, 30% live-action. Every character has a personal 'inner world' that activates when they're high — a completely distinct animation aesthetic that bleeds into the real world. Cannabis strains manifest as recurring animated characters called Strain Spirits with their own arcs and grudges. The dispensary, The Greenhouse, exists on two simultaneous planes: a functioning Portland dispensary on the floor, and a 74-server DHARMA Network AI empire in the back room. The comedy lives in the gap between these two worlds constantly bleeding into each other. Drew, the owner, is a CKD Stage 4 dialysis patient whose health is treated with authenticity, not as a punchline. At its heart: a sick man built an empire to feel less powerless, disguised it as a dispensary because he needed community, and now he's not sure which one he built for himself.
